Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and innovative AI Development Experience Engineer, who will be responsible for researching, experimenting with, and integrating AI-powered tools into our software development lifecycle. You’ll identify promising trends through focused R&D, build and validate solutions through hands-on development and exploration, and work closely with engineering teams to drive successful adoption. This is a role combining technical insight, strategic planning, and change facilitation—shaping both our practices and our culture as we evolve into an AI-augmented engineering organization. 

Essential Functions:

• AI R&D and Strategy
  
  • R&D efforts to identify, assess, and stay ahead of AI trends, tools, and best practices that can enhance developer productivity and experience.
  • Architect and develop novel AI-powered solutions and integrations that directly address developer needs.
  • Develop and drive a strategic roadmap to prioritize and sequence high-impact AI opportunities across the engineering lifecycle, including internal development efforts and external tool integration into a seamless workflow.
• Proof of Concept, Alignment, and Adoption
  
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to run proofs of concept, pilot AI tools in real workflows, and ensure solutions are adopted and integrated effectively.
  • Align AI initiatives with cross-functional goals, ensuring solutions address genuine developer needs and organizational priorities.
• Impact Measurement and Continuous Improvement
  
  • Define, track, and communicate success metrics to measure the impact of AI adoption on team efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain fast feedback loops with developers, using insights to continuously refine and optimize developed AI tools and integrated solutions. 
• Cultural Enablement
  
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and learning, encouraging teams to embrace new, AI-augmented ways of working.
    

The most successful candidates for this role will have: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in software engineering, with a deep understanding of development processes, tools, and best practices.
• Proven expertise in AI and machine learning, particularly in applications related to software development.
• Experience with AI tools and platforms relevant to software development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute technology roadmaps.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical skills to measure and interpret the impact of AI initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in change management and driving technology adoption within organizations.
• Background in developer productivity or developer experience roles.
• Contributions to the AI or software development community (e.g., publications, open-source projects…)
